Network File Server IP goof
Posted (April 21st, 2006 at 3:44 am PST) by DreamHostIt looks like one of our network file servers was missing an IP address from its network configuration. Initial testing/poking about with it wasn’t promising for a fix. Further futzing revealed that we may have been trying to assign it to the wrong physical network interface. It looks like our servers are picking up the mounts again without much prodding, so hopefully this is a permanent fix!
Our file server expert is going to look at it in the morning to double check my work however, because fixes at 3:45AM can have a way of undoing themselves.
(And after much futzing around, my first Blog post. Hopefully I set all the right options.)

Ah, was this the reason for the recent problems on washington?
Hmmm almost havent noticed any of this outages, only I have checked on my monitoring service that in past two week, my webpage was unaccessible for only 30 minutes.
