New Domain WHOIS Privacy Feature
Posted (May 2nd, 2006 at 9:42 am PST) by DreamHostAs you also might have seen in the recent newsletter, we’re now offering a WHOIS privacy feature, totally for free!
This means that when you register a new domain, transfer a domain to us, or modify your WHOIS info, you’ll be given the option to use our privacy feature instead of your personal contact information.
The purpose of this is of course to protect your privacy from scammers, spammers, and crazies! You’ll even get a forwarding-only email address set up at yourdomain.com@proxy.dreamhost.com that delivers all email sent to it to your real mailbox. This way you can still get important domain-related emails, but can easily filter them if you’d like.
