We have identified some lingering email configuration issues affecting some users (about 1-2%). The common symptom is ‘Relay Access Denied’ errors resulting when someone tries to send you email. Another cluster began exhibiting the same symptoms as the other cluster that was previously fixed. This should now be fixed as well. Tests on both clusters indicate mail should be authenticating and processing in the mail queues.

We’ve been having SMTP Authentication issues for much of the morning and are working on diagnosing and resolving the problem as soon as possible. In the meantime POP/IMAP email should work just fine, as should sending and receiving via Webmail.

Several of our mail servers (almost 2 dozen) are experiencing periodic authentication errors this morning. They are also extremely loaded.
