AOL is currently blocking emails sent from some Dreamhost mailservers. We are working to get the block removed. This happens a lot, and no one is more frustrated about the situation then us. Last night we had a problem with our ruby on rails package causing the ruby gems to be unavailable. The problem has been fixed as of 10:30 GMT -0700 . If you are still experiencing problems using ruby please contact support.

The problem reported earlier about Corrupted Email Configuration is now resolved. All addresses appear to be working correctly now. Unfortunately an email configuration file became corrupted. The symptoms were password request dialog boxes repeatedly coming up or not being able to send or receive messages. This was on the spunky mail cluster. Only some users on the spunky cluster were affected. Users on other clusters were not affected. [...]

The server pocky became completely unresponsive this morning. I went down to investigate after a remote powercycle didn’t bring it back up. It appears that the boot record became corrupted somehow and 10 minutes with a rescue disk didn’t seem to help. It is currently being failed over to new hardware and should be functioning [...]

All services are now back online!

The problem with mail delays have been fixed. Delays were due to our blacklisting server going down. A backup blacklisting server has already been added to correct the problem for good.

We’re seeing some minor email backups on our junkmail servers so if you’re using our junkmail filters your mail might be a bit delayed.
We’re working on this issue as quickly as possible.
