In just a few minutes we will be disabling catch-all addresses that forward to external addresses that are not to GMail, per the previous posts on this subject:

One of genki’s network cards has failed, and we are failing genki over to new hardware. Genki should be back up within an hour at most.

One of our authoritative DNS servers was just having some troubles which slowed its response time, causing some DNS timeouts. The problem is resolved now, and queries are returning to normal as it begins to cache its data again and should be back upto full speed soon.

The panel issue that was affecting some users where a blank page was being served upon login is now resolved. If you still notice any unusual behavior with our panel, please submit a ticket to support.

We have a DNS server that has gone down which is causing mail not to work for some users. The Admin team is looking into this right now and should have it resolved shortly

Bandini has been having some strange network issues. We’re moving it to new hardware now. Everything should be up and running in about 30 minutes.

Our one-click install of Joomla has been updated to version 1.0.9. A bunch of security vulnerabilities and bugfixes are included with this version, so you should upgrade immediately through our control panel.

To better support some new features we’re implementing, we’ll have to upgrade the OS on some of our switching hardware. We’ve already tested the upgrade on a limited basis without any issues, so we don’t expect any during this run of upgrades. We’re aware of issues logging into the panel, and are working to fix them. A workaround that has succeeded for some is to click the link https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi once you’ve logged in and gotten a blank page.

Our email servers that handle all incoming email from the Internet will no longer allow the sending of outbound email. If your DNS is hosted by us, this will NOT affect you at all. The incoming email servers are set up to only handle incoming email and not outgoing email already. Previously [...]
