Some of you with databases located on the sekhmet server may have noticed problems with it over the last few hours. It had multiple drives fail on it and we’re in the process of replacing them and will be bringing the server back up shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you.

We are currently having problems with the filer we have been working to fix since yesterday. It has crashed again and we are in the process of bringing it back up. We are currently having a few problems with the server compton. If you site is located on this server you may be experiencing service outages effecting ftp/web services. The problem is being worked on and should be fixed asap.
Today’s network problems were caused by not 1, not 2, not even 3, but 4 separate issues.
First, one of our older distribution switches decided to give up on life.

It seems like the problems are more widespread with our network than just our internal stuff.

We’re having some problems right now with our firewall for public websites we have that connect to our private internal databases.. we hope to get it fixed soon, but in the meantime, https://panel.dreamhost.com/ and http://wiki.dreamhost.com/ (and http://mailboxes.anydomainwehost.com/) are down.

After several attempts at getting this weekend’s misbehaving filer to recover we’re finally offloading the data to a new filer that was created yesterday. The offloads will take a while but we’ll be closely babysitting the old one for the duration.
