Mail Status
Posted (August 10th, 2006 at 4:17 pm PST) by mirGood news! Based on testing and feedback from customers it appears we do indeed have the spunky mail cluster properly authenticating at this time. Our head of the administration team also pinned down a network issue that was causing slowdown for webmail users.
One item of note, some Outlook users are still having trouble connecting but that appears to be specific to the client - if this is happening to you please confirm that webmail is working (if so your account is fine but you need to reboot your computer and possible upgrade Outlook to get it synched again).
We are still pushing hard towards making our mail service the reliable juggernaut it once was so please contact us right away at dhstatus@dreamhost.com* if you see a recurrance of persistant email issues (specifically intermittant connection or logging issues, slowdown of specific services like webmail).
