Miva Mail Server Changes

Posted (August 16th, 2006 at 3:09 pm PST) by andrea

This message only applies to our customers who have Miva Merchant set up on our servers (any version) and are using the built-in Order Fulfillment Configuration or OpenUI module to send email notifications to the merchant and to their customers.

If you notice that your order confirmations are not going through or are bouncing with a Relay Access Denied error, the following will fix it:

Log into your miva admin and click the Domain Settings link on the left (make sure you’re in Advanced Administration). That will bring up links in the right frame, among them Site Configuration. Click that, and replace your current entry with the word localhost in the Mail Server field. Click the update button and you’re all set. Your order confirmations should start going through again shortly.

Trouble finding where to make the change? Contact support and email us your miva admin login, and we’ll be happy to take care of it for you.
