Their network is still fubar, even though the "Happy happy dreamhost team" says everything is just fine. Get on your machine (if you can) and watch the load when your website stops working (if you don't lose your ssh/telnet connection). Load will climb through the roof as processes are sitting in the run queue not able to talk to the network (or talking very slowly to it). The machine will be 95% idle. Thank god we're almost done getting set up on our new hosting provider. Same old, same old here. The most frustrating thing is that I reported the outage and was later told that it had been resolved. But it hadn't! So I had to re-report it, and have been waiting ever since for a resolution. This really sucks. I realize that I'm not paying a tremendous amount for hosting, but I need it to be more reliable. If this is the sort of service that I should expect at this price point, then I guess I need to look elsewhere.
