RAM Upgrades! (Completed)
Mayo, wilshire, and cognac are all going down for RAM upgrades now. Unfortunately they need to have their BIOS flashed as well, so downtime will be a tad bit longer than normal (around 20 minutes). Check this space for updates.
- UPDATE Wed Oct 18 22:10:59 PDT 2006 -
All three servers are flashed and back up with double the RAM!

Please upgrade the RAM on Absinthe as well. The loads and reboot frequency are not at an acceptable level.

DH - Feel free to turn off the comments. They aren’t adding anything to the issues mentioned. Point people to discussion.dreamhost.com to complain.
Oh, I forgot you don’t read these comments.

Who else’s databases have been down for almost a day?

I agree, turn off the comments and tell them to start a thread at discussion.dreamhost.com
This was about a ram upgrade…nothing to do with a database (which, by the way, 1. check for system wide failures to your database THROUGH YOUR WEB ADMIN PANEL, 2. post a question about databases in the general discussion forum at discussion.dreamhost.com, 3. check here at status.dreamhost.com DON’T SEE ANYTHING ABOUT DATABASES???? then go back to your webadmin panel, and put in a support request!)
I wonder if we started voting for turning off the comments at Status.Dreamhost.com they would listen.

Sweet Jesus, my site is acting weird pretty much every day now (and is slow most of the time, but that’s tolerable). SVN is slow like hell (and that’s not good). And everytime you say you’re fixing anything, anywhere, somehow it looks like one or more of our services is going down too. What is this — string & stick technology? Guys, please…

Is your site down???
Stop wasting comment area and complain here!!!

There’s no reason to comment elsewhere. It’s been 1 day and 19 hours since I put in my ticket and it’s still unanswered. My queries about a general outtage get replies like, “Nope, it’s not us. Nothing wrong here.”
As each day goes by, as each problem mounts, DH is morphing into blogger.com, probably because they’re becoming victims of their own success.
So rather than send in a ticket every time my site is down for an hour or more (which is four times so far today, twice yesterday, etc., and so on) and remain anonymous, at least I can come here because misery loves company.

On personal opinion, I find this very helpful.
Guys, I have also posted some more relevant info further on this, not sure if you find it useful: http://www.bidmaxhost.com/forum/
