Wanna Fanta!

All of the network configuration scripts are furiously working to restore it’s … pop … so we should have it back up and working soon! Sorry about that!

Snuzzer, I agree. I come here just to see the blood. (I see all this carnage and realize that the server they put me on rocks. I wish everyone’s server was as solid as mine, as long as they aren’t actually ON my server.)

There’s a couple references to your issue from different mail clients. Because of spam and botnets, there have to be lots of protections and each one of those inconveniences “normal people”.

We don’t know. (We = Me and the mouse in my pocket - not dreamhost) have no idea why you can’t get to your site. Report it to Support and see what they do about it. I can tell you that mine are doing fine.
OMG OMG Im freaking out!!!! This moment is when we get the most ammount of hits in the year!!! I just switched from another host because of the probs it gave!!! this is the worst time for this to happen! please get it back up in minutes!! or else Ill have serious problems at work!!!!

yeah support called me up, I am confident theyll take care of this. Im gettings call after call asking what happened to the site
There is a pepsi server. And I’m sure more since there are IP addresses between coke and fanta. I’m disappointed that they named pepsi before coke. I like Coke. Not a big fan of Pepsi.

At least they seem to be able to duplicate the fact that it’s down. That’s always a good start.

That doesn’t mean it hasn’t been fixed, but it does mean that SOMEONE can get to it! (Unless the url you gave is for another site…)
My site has been down for about an hour now…. and the database was down yesterday for a time…. why arent these little outages recorded and noted?
hey, look at what i have to deal since this morning (about 20 hours back):
* a reset of my Custom MX record - i use Google Apps/GAYD, and it got reset back to DH’s
* a by-product, naturally, of the above is that ive been having bounced emails for 20 hours now!! more since i would need to count the time the updated records get propagated to the entire internet
* i cannot SSH into my account
* three of my domains are down (i cannot make changes to my online calendar..!)
OMG!?! please - i want more reliablity rather than disk space! rather than bandwidth…!

Ok, this morning my sites were back online. Now they’re down again. Just when I was in the right mood to do some work…
I’m starting to have second thoughts about switching to Dreamhost.
yah i’m the same way, my sites were down earlier today, they were back up, now they’re down again, this is not very reliable….
wow, i even remembered the url of this site! sucks. i have created different user accounts (ssh, ftp) and for some the host is working, for some showing “500″ error. fck: http://www.valtersboze.com working, http://www.briinums.com, celebritysnap.com not. just when i really have the mood to work.not to mention 1500 unique visitors daily to celebritysnap
My redirect from annehutchinsdesign.com to annehutchinswebdesign.com is not working at the moment. It was working this morning — now I’m getting ’server cannot be located’ error messages. Not good. Not good at all.

My site is down and has been since last night. When it isn’t down, it’s incredibly slow and essentially unusable. Not too great since I’m trying to test my design online.
Greg - I’ve been having the same problem. Site down sporadically over the last few days. It’s getting really annoying, not to mention poor service for having websites down in the middle of the day.
yeah my morning sites went back up for most of the afternoon but now they;re down again.. they need to fill us in on why this keeps happening.
I think i’m just going to switch hosts because this is ridiculous, what absolutely poor showing of customer support and product quality.
I am on a different server, but I am getting crazy slow pageloads. Is this related I wonder?
It’s been 7 hours since I submitted a support ticket. Nothing. Not a word. Far as I know, my site is on price, and it’s been going down, and back up, all day. I’m losing a lot of money, and the lack of updates is really pissing me off. I’m willing to bear with this stuff, given the low prices, as long I know what’s going on. Is anyone reading this? What’s going on???!?! And when will it be fixed?

If you experience any trouble…you should ask to migrate to the 7UP server… it never goes DOWN (huh huh
How many servers do you guys at dreamhost actually have.. they seem to be falling apart all the time.. maybe it just seems like that because you have tousands of servers
Is Fanta down again? I can’t reach my site djjayskee.net and fanta.dreamhost.com is pingable.

Argh, the downtime happened just a minute after my friend decided to buy a DH plan… Hope it won’t happen again, and he won’t get bad impression just on the fresh start…
