Tank Puckered Out (Resolved)
It put up a good fight, but in the long run, tank lost the war. It’s being moved over to new hardware now to fight another day. Check this space for updates.
- UPDATE Wed Oct 25 02:59:56 PDT 2006 -
Tank is back up on new hardware and is ready for battle! If you are still having problems with tank, please let support know.

How do you people know the name of the server you are on? All I know is I could not send any mail all day.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:42 pm
Is this the reason why the e-mail is not working? Im trying to send e-mails but it says that the server is not responding… Im desperated cause there are tons of e.mails that have to come out from the company. what do I do?
October 25th, 2006 at 5:29 pm
Karyn, those emails that keep getting returned to you “unopened” should be a clue: You should contact support with outage issues via the Support section of the DH Control Panel. While I suppose can be somewhat “therapeutic” to post those concerns as a comment on this blog, it is *not* a very good way to communicate your issues with Dreamhost (and they “warn” you to this effect on the blog’s front page”).
I’m glad to see that you are now “back up”, and I hope it stays that way for you!

“How do you people know the name of the server you are on? All I know is I could not send any mail all day.”
That’s just one of the questions that is asked periodically and answered regularly (sigh) on the Dreamhost Discussion Forums (http://discussion.dreamhost.com). I suspect if it were asked in that *forum* (rather than just being another “off topic” blog comment), it would probably get answered *there* (again!), even though a visit to the forum and a simple search would probably reveal the answer without you even having to ask it.
