Webmail attachments problem

The folder where we temporarily store webmail attachments filled up. It seems that Squirrelmail was leaving stale files around, and it hit the maximum directory size. We are cleaning these out now. We will look in to why this was happening to try and prevent it in the future.

Maybe Squirrelmail was saving them up for the winter . . .

I was wondering about this, we were having severe issues and needed to get quotes out yesterday afternoon. Hopefully this isnt an ongoing issue. Thanks for the update though, and it seems to be working now.

I guess this explains why a message with a Word attachment I sent at 10:30 am (EDT) still hadn’t arrived as of noon. Fortunately, it isn’t time-critical.

Well, you could install the “Attachment Cleanup” plugin I wrote about 3 years ago.

Granted, its way more effecient to do it via a Cron job (as I state on the page). Especially with the number of users Dreamhost must have running through their webmail servers.

Dreamhost really needs to get on the ball, and write a custom theme with Dreamish colors, as the default is fairly bland. The current Development version is nearly completely skinnable/themable so it will make the job alot easier in the future.

Roundcube is nice, i have it setup on my account to check my e-mails, rather than squirrelmail. It checks other accounts too.

Roundcube is really nice. The only problem is that i cannot access the junk folder on dreamhost with it.

    Will this change soon?

I agree. Squirrel Mail sucks. We need a better client option.
