WordPress One-Click Install updated to version 2.0.5

Posted (October 30th, 2006 at 1:13 am PST) by DreamHost

I’ve just updated our One-Click Install of WordPress to version 2.0.5. The bevy of security fixes and new features can be read about here:

Changes In WordPress 2.0.5

If you installed WordPress using our One-Click Installer, you can upgrade it by logging in at panel.dreamhost.com, clicking on the “Goodies” tab and then on the “One-Click Installs” page, and then clicking on the [Upgrade to 2.0.5] link next to your installation of WordPress.

awesome, thanks!

I was waiting for that.

Thanks a lot.

Update worked perfectly. I didn’t even have to reconfigure anything. Everything was how I liked it. Although I did see the “blank pages” quirk again, which is easily fixable by this: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/WordPress#Blank_Pages

Thanks!

When can we expect MediaWiki 1.8.2 (released 2006-10-13) on one-click installs?

I don’t see this:
“clicking on the “Goodies” tab and then on the “One-Click Installs” page, and then clicking on the [Upgrade to 2.0.5] link next to your installation of WordPress.” :(

Help?

Anyone know if the upgrades will touch any of my custom changes in wp-content area? I want to know if the “upgrade” is same as applying the 2.0.4->2.0.5 diffrence fileset.

That sounds really sweet — I recently signed up with DreamHost and am very happy thus far. I hope the happiness will continue! I ended up ending 2.0.5 “the long way” by myself, but I learned some things in the process. Perhaps next time I’ll be doing the auto-install!

It’s very good article. Great site with very good look and perfect information… Thanks

Thanks you dreamhost for the great work done. Dreamhost Rocks!
