Dedicated Server Moves

As a reminder to the dedicated customers e-mailed last week, your servers are being moved now to the LAX datacenter. Estimated downtime is right around two hours.

Sorry for the short notice, but we will be taking the DreamHost Web Panel down tonight at 10PM PST (Mon Jan 29 22:00:00 PST 2007), for some emergency database maintenence. Downtime window is 2 hours, expected downtime within that window is 1 hour.

Database server problems, riffraff (Update on backups)

The database server “riffraff” is having hardware problems. We’re working to get them figured out and resolved and get it back online as quickly as we can.

Hooray for new Rails!

The packages are done, testing is complete, and I’m ready to roll out the new version of Rails - 1.2.1. Slowly, of course!

Server Relocation Bonanza!

Mailbox and email address updates backed up - Update!

The problem is now fixed, and all updaters but one finished running. The last one is on our biggest server cluster (group), and it’s safe to say that it should finish within one hour.

Load issues on webmail machines

We are experiencing load spikes on some of our webmail servers. We still have others to handle the webmail flow, but this problem may cause intermittent slowness and/or inaccessibility.
The admins are working on it, and it should be fixed soon. Please check back for updates.

Four Quick Server Moves
