Well, I guess I have an interesting situation and after fighting it for two days, asking for help from DH and still no answer I thought I would vent here.

I CANNOT send mail through the DH server using OUTLOOK! However, with the same settings, I can send mail using OUTLOOK EXPRESS! This sort of throws a lot of cold water on the Port 25 versus the Port 587 issue as far as I can tell because in EXPRESS either port will work just fine... in OUTLOOK, neither port will work! Go figure!

I am in China and I cannot use our ISP's SMTP so now what is a boy supposed to do? I use Outlook as a power user and sure don't want to have to keep both Outlook open and Outlook Express! Goodness!

Anyone else find this problem?

I would like to see if this problem is still occuring.

I am having a lot of problems with DreamHost and I'm close to done with it.

Can someone confirm with me if they are still having this "Relay Access Denied" issue?

PS: Is there really anyone working this so-called "24 hour" customer service hotline?? Really...

> This is the AVG E-mail Scanner program.
>
> I'm sorry to have to inform you that the message returned
> below could not be delivered to one or more destinations.
> The E-mail server has responded with the following error:
>
> -------------------------------------------------------------------
> Cannot open smtp connection to '209.59.195.11'
> Connect: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not
> properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed
> because connected host has failed to respond. (10060)

Below are my settings:
   AVG SETTINGS:
      POP3 Host: Automatic (10110)- ACTIVE
SMTP Host: Automatic (10025) - ACTIVE

   SECURITY CENTER SETTINGS (Control Panel):
      WINDOWS FIREWALL Exceptions:
AVG TEST CENTER (avgw.exe) - checked
            avgamsvr.exe - checked
            avgcc.exe - checked
            avgemc.exe - checked
            avginet.exe - checked

PS - Im using Windows XP, AVG 7.5... I'm able to receive emails but not able to send successfully. My Outlook Express messages (I was doing some email testing to my yahoo and gmail account) tend to leave my Outlook Express Outbox Folder and go directly to my Outlook Express Sent Folder. But when I check my Outlook Express emails on my yahoo and gmail email accounts, my messages are not there... And AVG sends me the message as I've posted above...

please help me..

I am working in a IT company. we are having our own web mail server having configured in MS-outlook email client. The problem is from outlook, the mails are not transferring to another email portals(like yahoo, rediff etc.). but it shows the send/ receive status as complete. we have a proxy server in between the internal and external network(win proxy). A windows 2003 server is also used as a server for storing data. the receipt we are getting the action shows relayed. How to solve this issue as soon as possible.
