I have to concur with many of you. This service is run by rookies. They mean well I think, but rock solid reliability is not part of Dreamhost. Our businesses are suffering as people are getting bounces constantly. Unacceptable, guys. Crap, now I have to find another hosting company. Sigh.

Same here. Opened webmail, got the following:

ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: mail.lemurreserve.org.
110 : Connection timed out
Go to the login page

Went to Thunderbird, got the “mailserver time out” error.

come on guys. the slowness is unacceptable. this is getting *old* and i am extremely frustrated now. this happens WAY too often. please be honest and let me know if this is what we should expect. if so i will have to go with another company with better service. i am losing money and time… not what i expect from you guys…
