Mailbox and email address updates backed up – Update!

The problem is now fixed, and all updaters but one finished running. The last one is on our biggest server cluster (group), and it’s safe to say that it should finish within one hour.
Again, sorry about the inconvenience!
We’re currently experiencing problems with our automated mailbox updaters. This means that mailboxes and email addresses created or updated recently are still in their old state.
This is being looked into by our admins and we’re working on a fast resolution. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We don’t have an SLA. We just try for as close to 100% as is humanly possible. What would a typical web hosting SLA get you? 33 cents back if your site was down for an ENTIRE day!
can’t access my e-mail, and if i am *lucky enough* it is unacceptably slow. please address. this is happening way too often… please explain as it really does affect my work.

The difference being, of course, is that it’s (.33 * number_of_users_affected) which makes a hosting company with an SLA a we bit more motivated to fix system-wide problems.
I’m not sating that DH should/shouldn’t offer an SLA, I’m just mentioning that your math is flawed. For $8 – $20 per month, you don’t get an SLA.

I haven’t been able to connect to my mail through PoP3 since this morning. Is this related? Still not able to connect, though I can access through webmail just fine.
That explains why it took a bit for the email I created to work. Everything’s up now (on Redbull), thanks!

Well, we’ve got a lovely “Back up” message but because the update wiped out the original message we don’t know what was originally (and when) wrong.
Almost a useful update of dreamhostatus.com. Now if we could get BOTH the original message (with time) and the “Fixed” message with time, we could talk to our users and not sound like idiots.

P. Stoff– Anyone that puts their job (or business) on the line though a shared webhost is in the wrong business– Spring for a dedicated or roll your own server.
I wouldn’t blame dreamhost if using a $8-$15 webhost gets you fired.

Mail is sluggish today. Slow logins to SquirrelMail and lots of hourglass time on sends.
Everything worked fine for me all month. 24 minutes of downtime, who caressssssssssssss. I got 100,000 hits too, go ADSENSE
my mail also seems to be broken. tried mail.smallwonderfarm.com and webmail.smallwonderfarm.com. same message as mike above. also not downloading to my mailbox, which is why i went to webmail to try and get it.

My site is currently down altogether, and I keep getting “disk quota exceeded” even though I’ve checked my users and email accounts and they are only using around 0.3% of what’s available. FTP connections and shell connections are working fine, but my site is not. Any ideas as to what’s going on? I’ve contacted support, but my site has been acting up (aka not loading) for over 24 hours now, and this is really getting old.
