Niagara not flowing
Posted (February 9th, 2007 at 9:34 am PST) by TerriNiagara has a busted NIC, so we’re moving everyone over to new hardware. This should take no longer than two hours, and we’ll be updating this post once it’s up and running again. My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
Update: Niagara is back in business. If you are on Niagara and are still experiencing downtime related to the move, please contact support.

Help Please
On Flower, we can’t create Email since 20 hours ![]()
My email has been down for hours on Spunky. I have an urgent request for help and still no one has gotten back to me. No status update. Nothing! Nothing! Nothing! I’m out of here DH.
now we can create mailboxes
but we don’t receive mail ^^
@Bruno
DH has about 1300 servers, and even if each one only has a hardware failure once every 3 years, that’s still on average one server failing daily.
Thank god it was only a busted NIC, those are cheap and easy to replace.
@Matt Nordhoff
Hmm, well 1300 server is a ******* lotta!
Sorry by the post but I couldn’t imagine how bigger the datacenter is…
But anyways you have a awesome service
keep the good work guys!
And keep the good humor
that’s what differs you from other BUSSINESS BORING SERVERS =]
sorry the english
It seems like the NICs are what keep failing in all the servers lately. Maybe DH should look into buying a little higher-quality NICs for their servers? Or equipping each server with an additional NIC? (I know, less practical - more power required, more connections means more switches means more power which means higher bills, but honestly, it might be worth it for DH)
Hi, my database is on niagara and they seem to be very slow - I don’t know if this is an issue with my code or the server.
Also I cannot get on FTP (but I do not know if my FTP is on niagara).
Thanks!
Hi, my database/site is on niagara and they seem to be very slow - I don’t know if this is an issue with my code or the server.
Also I cannot connect to FTP (this is a recent problem).
Thanks!
a client of mine is also on niagara. I’ve got a drupal CMS site setup on it and it also runs quite slow. the lag time between clicking on a link and it actually loading the page is rediculous. I’m talking just a link to load a page (not doing any transactions at all). I wonder if anything can be done to speed things up….(or if it’s an issue with drupal?)
thanks for all
