File Server RAM Upgrade!

One of our file servers is in desparate need of extra RAM. It will be going down at 10:30 for an upgrade. This will not affect most customers. It may however affect some users (not all) on the following servers:

The file server is back up with more RAM and everything is mounting it properly!

panel.dreamhost.com has not responded at all for the past half hour. Of course I realize that this is not the place to report it, but since I cannot get to the help system, I cannot report it there. I was hoping that some announcement would be here on the status page but no.

Looks like maybe the RAM upgrade caused “garvey” ’s FTP settings not to work? I can’t login to any of my domains on this server..

I’m stunned to see so many servers … I heard it was a couple of hundreds, but never stood still to think about the number ‘hundreds’. Dreamhost offers so much I just can not believe they are so big. I had aspect a desperate web hosting company acts like this. (No offense) Yup, go dreamhost! Your not the fastest servers, but a real fair and good buy.

Less than that for me. It took at most 2 secs.

However, like “why” says, you’re currently layout isn’t build for fast loading. With everything in tables, images and ads everywhere, you should expect that your site will load slower than some others.
