Nehi bad hardware
We’ve been investigating the cause of nehi’s continued crashing, and have discovered that the hardware is faulty. Therefore we will begin moving everyone over to new hardware in a few minutes. This process should only take about two hours, at most, to complete, and there will be minimal downtime - much less, in fact, than what nehi users have been experiencing!
Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Update 11:41 A.M. PDT: Nehi is on new hardware, and sites are starting to come back up as configurations and DNS catches up. Nehi users with any further issues can contact support at support@dreamhost.com if they still have lingering issues.

I cannot access the web panel at https://panel.dreamhost.com/, but don’t seem to be able to submit a new issue via support@dreamhost.com either. Is anyone else experiencing problems with the web panel specifically? Should I just wait? I’m a bit ticked off with this circular problem.

Panel’s working fine for me. The secret to submitting a new issue via email is that you have to send the email from the address that is registered for your overall account - otherwise it will get bounced.

I am still not able to connect to ftp and our site is not loading, it was working this morning and we haven’t touched it since, thanks.

This sucks….keeps sucking. It’s getting to be a regular feature. Are these guys working with cold-war era technology or what?

We just signed up today and this is the first thing we come across…
Unfortunately, this is a very bad start and we hope problems like this won’t be frequent.

For a first timer, JP, I’d say that you get around quite well (knowing where this web log resides.)

Rootbeer is back too, after what appears to be a brief hiatus. My staffmember and I have been wondering why this has been happening lately. He (the one who convinced me to leave GoDummy) says these issues never existed until the past three weeks. Will there be a more permanent fix for whatever’s goin’ on?
March 27th, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Phillip and others. I’ve been with Dreamhost for ~8 years now. I can safely tell you that my experience has been outstanding. The latest couple days have been the only real major outtages I’ve ever had - and they’ve been exceptionally brief.
I would suggest to everyone here to retain a little patience as they work whatever issues they currently have, and expect that you’ll become quite pleased with their service and performance when those issues become resolved.

@Daniel: I haven’t been here that long. It’s closer to 3 months for me, and other than that long outage on that infamous Sunday morning in February, outages have been brief and performance has continued to improve.
Peace,
Gene

I am a user of ppcgeeks.com. Anyone know what is the problem? This this the problem?

@ Daniel
If you were wondering why you couldn’t log into the ftp, you’d look in the wiki too.

I guess this account only for people with small amount of traffic and low activities on the site , the speed of the server was perfect load the page was greate for as long as the site was insignificant in amount of pages and live processes on it. Transfer to VPS and I think you would not have the problem ever again.
