Wiggle Moving to New Hardware

The web server Wiggle is being failed over to new hardware . Total downtime will be ~1 hour . We will update as the move finishes.

Reminder: DreamHost central database maintenance

Just a reminder that the scheduled maintenance of the DreamHost central database will begin in approximately 35 minutes, at Tue Mar 6 22:00:00 PST 2007. This will take the DreamHost Webpanel offline for up to 4 hours.

Sporadic brief network outages.

Updated: We believe we’ve figured out the cause of these brief outages and are implementing a permanent fix right now. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the issues, but we’re fairly certain that we’ve worked out the issue.

A pretty bad security exploit made it into Wordpress version 2.1.1, so if you upgraded to that within the last couple of days, make sure to upgrade to 2.1.2 as soon as possible. More information is available from the WP staff:

We are experiencing connection issues with file storage server that’s causing inflated loads on the following machines.
