You're complaining about an outtage thats been well planned.... Have you even placed a ticket on your problems? Just putting it into the panel for an outtage check doesn't count. Did you file a ticket with enough information to actually get the thing fixed? Dreamhost is the expert on running their network and their servers - not running your applications. So give them the info they need to help you out... And if you don't want to give them a chance - Why not start giving RackSpace $1900 a month for a server... And you too with get FANATICAL support... I noticed my POP checker wasn't able to check, so I tried going to webmail - it said my username is unknown or password incorrect. It said that several times. With several different accounts. Funny thing is that 1) the dreamhost panel lists those accounts as active and with the password I tried, and 2) I can log onto mailboxes.domain.com with the account password just fine. Only thing blocked is POP (dunno about SMTP). Well, my email is “down” in a real funny way.
