Bam going down for a quick ram upgrade
Bam seems to be a little short on memory. I am going to attempt to upgrade it now! Total downtime should be about 5 minutes.
The server is coming back online now with an extra gig of memory!

So glad I moved from dreamhost!

To Dan:
Thank you for commenting, If you have moved from Dreamhost then why do you give a hoot about what is happening here and why are you posting here. Why don’t you take your smug little comments and shove them where the sun don’t shine. I personally have not experienced but 5 minutes of downtime in the month or so that I have had Dreamhost. Thank you Dreamhost for what you do.

i keep gettin` this error : We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.

Ha Ha Winston, I come on here because I still have one website that is hosted here waiting to be moved. I also still have the RSS feed in my browser.
I’ve been with my new host now for 2 months and have not had even 1 minute of downtime, does that make them 10 times better?
Thank for you for comments Winston, but the internet is an open resource and I can come and go as I please.

To Dan:
That is more understandable if you do have a website still currently on Dreamhost. I am just getting annoyed with those that don’t contribute to the topic of discussion, which just so happens isnt that someone moved away from Dreamhost.

I started moving away when the amount of downtime was getting silly a couple of months ago. I agree that they do seem to be getting their act together lately and when i’ve emailed their support folks I’ve always had a reply very quickly. Just seems they need to work harder on their network and hardware

I even didn’t notice this issue
Thanks for resolving it!

Give my money back!
April 28th, 2007 at 10:40 am
Wow, Kevin’s a smart one. Gee, I wonder if they just canceled & refunded every single account with Kevin” in the billing info.
Kevin, if you didn’t get your refund yet, try yelling “Give my money back” out of your window for a few hours. That should work.

Great job guys.

To Dan:
Hi man! Could you post here where did you move to?
April 28th, 2007 at 7:00 pm
If your idea of researching a new host is asking people to spam links on the status site of your current host, then you’re not too bright.
April 28th, 2007 at 7:48 pm
We are still down. Since yesterday!
April 28th, 2007 at 7:57 pm
And this still isn’t how you send a ticket to support.
Your site is pingable, but returns an error. That’s not enough to say it’s a DH problem and not something you’ve done… but contacting support would be a good way to find out what’s wrong.

Down for almost an hour! Nobody cares this????
April 29th, 2007 at 7:13 am
I just wanted to say to everyone whose site is down, please don’t worry—mine isn’t, and it’ll continue to be around throughout the hours that your site is down

“Down for almost an hour! Nobody cares this????”
Maybe Dreamhost does. Follow directions, file a support ticket–and you just might find out.

I’m a happy Dreamhost customer for more than 2 years. Personally, I didn’t have many problems with it, the support has aways been responsive and the price is good, so, instead of keeping bitching abotu DH services, just find another provider. There’s many of them. Go away and leave the satisfied ones alone.

Hosting prices at Dreamhost are way below average.
Quality & service is about average.
The way I see it, that’s a deal.
Perfect for hosting pics of the keg parties and baby showers. For a business, not so much.
