Dreamhost themself don’t actually host this website, if I remember it is provided by the same people who provide atleast one of Dreamhosts gigabit uplinks, so its actually externally hosted. It’s entirely plausible, if not highly likely as since when does a WordPress install need maintainance(?), that the maintainance is server maintainance being performed by Dreamhost’s external host. Thus, this downtime may not be at thier mercy as to when it occurs.

It’s not a good idea to shut down your primary status communication vehicle when you have things you should be communicating about.
Please delay your status page maintenance until a time when you don’t have active problems.

All my sites are down too, DNS cannot resolve either, wasted my time trying to figure that out on my end….

Our site was up for a few hours and now is down again. This is now essentially 48-72 hours of downtime. our HTTP is not responding once again.
