Possible? Yes. Will it help? Um… no. If the servers are set up just right, you won’t notice the effects of a user being slashdotted unless they happen to be physically on your server. Preceded by a couple of weeks of mysterious memory errors that left the sites <I>effectively</I> down, because you could go hours without being able to pull anything up, and then a little bit of time being able to pull things up but only exceedingly slowly.
