It seems like SMTP/IMAP is inaccessible, along with …well everything else basically meaning my web site.

There’s a support ticket in there somewhere. ‘Cuz I can guarantee it’s neither effecting everyone nor related to the post in question. Webmail being down, however, is related to this and… uh, they already said it’d be toast.

While I appreciate scheduled maintenance windows - and the appropriate notices - it looks like the scope on this one isn’t very clear or accurately stated. It seems like SMTP/IMAP is inaccessible, along with …well everything else basically …meaning my web site.

a couple hours downtime ~12am is better than colo cost, stress, COST, etc… but yeah - very annoying when trying to get work done.

Webpanel down AGAIN, no webmail AGAIN

Can’t this be solved without always having hours of “server down”???

Not when they’re performing database upgrades, and the database they’re upgrading is the same one the panel and webmail uses, they can’t. They have backup servers, yes. But if the backend database needs to be upgraded, well… uh, not happening.

Well sipmly I think I should look somewhere else. Dreamhost is like a biicchh full of trouble..Server down, mysql down, control panel down.. What is the backup servers for?Can’t this be solved without always having hours of “server down”???
