Cutlass being DDoS’d
Some of you who are hosted on the ‘cutlass’ server may have noticed that your sites are unresponsive at the moment. This is because there is a large scale DDoS attack against multiple domains on that server. Our admins are working on it now and hope to have it back to normal shortly. We’ll update this post once we have more information.
–UPDATE– 12:35 pm: This should be back to normal now. We were able to divert the attack and the server load is well within an acceptable level now. If you have any further problems with your site(s) hosted on this server, please contact support.

Thanks for the notice, I know you guys are working your brains out to get this resolved. I noticed everything hit the fan about three hours back. Any chance we can get a Google Maps link to the home address of the person responsible for the attack? Maybe a cell phone number?
Thanks again, hopefully the storm clears soon. With any luck you’ll catch the ass and have grounds for an arrest. That would be beautiful.

Hi!
Just curious how we know what server we’re hosted on? All I know of is a DNS number.

Log in to the web panel and click on the “Account Status” link at the top right hand corner of the page. You’ll see all sorts of info including your server name, SQL server name, mail server name and much more…

I can’t connect to york. Semms like there is no hard disc mounted. What’s happening there?

Still down. DNS issues unresolved, waiting for response from DreamHost support staff.

You may want to send that link to DNS Reports to support as a follow up. Being down this long isn’t normal- but complaining here doesn’t do any good either.

Joanne -
You’re on payday -
I used nslookup to get your IP address and then did a reverse lookup on the ip. (I didn’t break into your account!)

Well, I’m on Pinto and that seems to be cocking around today as well. One minute it’s up next it’s down. Sad, because up till now I haven’t had any problems with Dreamhost..
