I have multiple sites on the Dreamhost system, and none of them are loading! Is the Dh team still working on moving the servers?

“Comments posted here may not be viewed by DreamHost staff at all. This is not a way to contact DreamHost.”
Amazing how many times people ignore this.

“I have multiple sites on the Dreamhost system, and none of them are loading!”
Amazing how slow Dreamhost is responding to this.

It doesn’t seem that there will be any response here, Ryan. But I’d like to know the answer too, because it’s been a while all my sites are also down even though the servers are pinging, at least occasionally.

To me it seems like a PHP problem. Wordpress won’t load, nor any other PHP file, but html files load just fine.
I had this problem before and Dreamhost support reseted the Apache Configurations to make it work again.
I reported the problem already to support, I hope they act quicly, because is more downtime that I can handle.

And my site is back!

Guilherme, I think you’ll find your sites are down again. I’m experiencing exactly the same problem with my php files, html files running fine, Wordpress blogs down. The server was rebooted last night and everything seemed to be ok. Then the Apache configurations were reseted. But I got up today to find a dozen alerts from the sites I use to monitor up time of my blogs.
Ticket submitted a couple of hours ago but I’m afraid fast response times are just simply not a concept when problems happen in the middle of the night (LA local time).

Today, my website can’t visit… T_T

My site’s been down last 5 hours and my email to support was also 5 hours back - no response and no idea what is happening.
July 11th, 2007 at 6:47 am
Well, the fact that Dreamhost states “You can contact support at any time day or night, every day of the year via email at support@dreamhost.com or through our web panel” it doesn’t mean there is someone at the other end the whole time… If things go wrong during the night, you’re screwed up!
My sites have been down for 7 hours now, support ticket submitted more than 4 hours ago. No reply, no solution.
At the end of the day, is just a question of how much you can put up with. So far my experience with Dreamhost has been ok, occasional shortish downtimes, but that’s all. But the events of the last few days will probably force me to take my pages somewhere else.

Keep getting 500 errors when I load my site - anyone else? I just relaunched my site on monday and have had a few database problems, am I an isolated case or are other people experiencing this too?
July 11th, 2007 at 7:55 am
208.97.167.184 and 208.97.167.185 have port 80 closed. Please open it. The server is up and works properly, but you must open 80 for http connections…
I’ve opened a tiket 4 hour sago.
Thank you.

Everyones site is working now, apart from Matt with errors due to PHP.
July 11th, 2007 at 9:01 am
My site came back, went down for several hours and now seems to be up again.
I heard that recently Dreamhost was having invasion problems, not official though, just a rumor.
That would be a very plausible explanation for all this hassle, but I had similar problems in June and if this is it, one problem like this per month, then I am really starting to worry.

Dreamhost sucks!
July 11th, 2007 at 11:09 am
One of my domains work fine, the other one is down since 10hours! I send already 3 reports to dh support, but no answer. Ok, i understand that they have a lot of work, but we try to make buisness too. Maybe the problems are much bigger than they will tell us.
July 11th, 2007 at 3:35 pm
Can’t these motherfuckers do anything right - sites are all fucked up everywhere!!!
July 11th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
@krolok - I have no doubt the problem is MUCH bigger that they’d dare to tell. No doubt at all.
