More server moves!
With our continued concerns of space and power, we will be moving the following servers tomorrow morning, Friday July 13 beginning at 1AM PDT. The moves are expected to take no more than 30 minutes for any one server and should all be completed by 3AM.

If your sites are on any of these servers, they will be off-line while the move takes place.

Mine isn’t listed either, still getting internal errors. Support tells me no wide spread outage on my server, even though all the sites listed at my ip address are unreachable. This is the third time being down this week. This outage has lasted several hours now looking at my error reports. I was having a nice stretch of uptime until this week.

dreamhost think about getting someone to moderate these comments, nobody reads the top of the blog which states that this isn’t a way to communicate with dreamhost. If the issue doesn’t affect you why even waste time posting?

I suspect the only reason Dreamhost even enables comments on this blog is so they can:
laugh at imbeciles who complain about unrelated problems, when they’re clearly told to make an official report;
see how many times the same idiots threaten to leave, but stay put (I think the record now is somewhere around 22,453 threats and still here);
giggle at the buffoons who try to offer “helpful” advice, even though they don’t know diddly-squat about the way Dreamhost’s network is assembled or managed;
snort at the hackneyed English thrust forth by foreigners who, not content to just embarrass themselves with awful Web sites, feel the need to output gibberish here;
read the really cool flames you can find here.
Or maybe they just figure information wants to be free, and thus this blog should have comments.
Whatever the case, it’s always fun to read.

What is worse than someone complaining about downtime on this blog? Someone complaining about people complaining on this blog. Why are you here in the first place? This blog isn’t exactly exciting stuff.
It helps to know if people are having similar problems if your site is down, otherwise I wouldn’t be here.

Did any of you retards even read the entry? That means you too adfasd you kook. The downtime mentioned in this entry is scheduled for Friday, and has nothing to do with whatever your issue is right now. If you want to know what is happening to your site, pull your head out of your ass long enough to log in to panel > support > account tests and run a test which will tell you if there is an issue and whether it is already being looked at.. or perhaps the internet just decided you were too fukkin stupid to view your site at the moment.

I also very much appreciate being able to read other people’s complaints.
To those that bash those of us that complain here:
- The announced time frame for downtime is not very accurate (there is often some sort of secondary issues, etc etc)
- Nobody asked you to police customers that come to complaint.. and, hopefully dreamhost doesn’t back your vigilante-style
- If DH decided to cut the (proper) complaints here, it would most likely backfire on the company.. and the current complaint-vigilantes would end up without a “job”

My site is down again. I am very unhappy with this service dreamhost provides. The company is a joke and if you actually had proper datacentres and people who know what they are doing there wouldn’t be so much downtime. I can wait until my account is expired so I can get a proper host. Dreamhost sucks and their services are a joke.

Well my sites aren’t on the affected servers and are working fine.
Damn nothing to complain about, think I’ll just have to go and come back later when I have something to complain about.
