Moving servers tonight
In order to make more efficient use of power in our datacenter, I’ll be moving a few servers tonight between 2 and 3 a.m., PDT. The racks are very close to each other, so downtime per server should be no longer than five minutes each.
The servers being moved tonight:
paramount
holt
fairfax
whopper
joust
I will also be moving the MySQL machine snowdrop. Shared MySQL machines are a bit bulkier, so it may take a few minutes longer to move it, but I will be as quick as I possibly can!
Thank you for your understanding!
Update 3:19 a.m. PDT: Everything but snowdrop is all moved and up and running. Snowdrop’s move will be scheduled for a later time.

So why is tejava down even before you’ve got these servers scheduled?
No, I don’t expect an answer. Tejava never seems to be listed on any of these status updates when it goes down. I should be used to this crap service by now.
Oh, and DH fanboys, reply all you want, I ain’t checking back… this page is worthless for trying to get any answers, because if you don’t kiss DH’s ass, the fanboys come crying and attacking.

Of course this page is worthless for trying to get answers. They even say that at the top of the page in big bold letters:
“Posting in the comments here IS NOT an official way to contact DreamHost”
So if your site is down, why not use the proper support channels?
I’m not a fanboy of DH, but I do think it’s not fair to blame them if you are not following instructions. When I have problems, I follow the proper procedure and things have always been resolved in a timely manner.

My site on ivan went down as well. It came back up after about an hour (?), while I was still checking things for the support form.
