Quick database modification at around 2am PST
Posted (August 2nd, 2007 at 11:17 pm PST) by kitchenAround 2am PST we will be making a quick modification to one of the database tables the web panel relies on, which cause the web panel to be unavailable for a short period of time.
We expect the outage to take at most 30 minutes, but hopefully no more than 5.
We will update this post with more information when the upgrade occurs!
Update: 2:03am PST: and it begins… we’ll post again when it’s back up!
Update: 2:17am PST: and it’s finished! It took exactly 13 minutes 37.73 seconds to complete. Thank you all for your patience!

Am I the only one unable to use the “Forgot password” link? Clicking it produces the following message:
“Error! This session has timed out. Please re-authenticate.”
I guess that downtime was pretty elite, then.
OMG! This must stop! It may not seem like much to you, but during that 13 minutes I was not able to add a new forwarding email address, send a bitching support ticket, or anything at all from the control panel. DH is costing me money. OMG! [grin]
Nice job, guys! Rock ON!
Great work, dreamhost staff. Take such a short time to complete the job.
