RESOLVED LAX connectivity issues

We are currently experiencing some difficulty with our network links to our LAX datacenter. This is causing issues with the swarthy, looney, and frisky clusters, as well as dedicated servers.

Our network engineers are looking into this and we will have a resolution as soon as possible.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Update: 11:58am PST: Our dns caching server for our LAX facility was down, which was causing hostname resolution issues, which was causing dns lookups to fail, and making lots of timeouts appear for smtp services. It’s back up now, and everything should be fine!

You really need to let that anger go man, keeping it bottled up inside is bad for you…

You obviously haven’t dealt with this shit as much as others. Dreamhost’s incompetence gets annoying after a while.

I didn’t even notice an issue with my email. Thanks for letting me know that it happened, I am sure most hosts would just bury it. Also I am impressed it only took 15minutes to resolve.

    Thanks

I hear you man. I mean… GOD DAMN DREAMHOST for providing a $7.95 hosting plan that recieves 15 minute fault response times. I can’t believe the nerve of them — supporting their “customers” far “better” than “the rest of the industry”.

    Those motherfuckers.
