Email configuration restored
Some customers have been experiencing a problem where your Manage Addresses control panel showed few or no entries. This has been fixed, and will be monitored for future problems. However, because a database restoration had to be made, any changes you have made to your email since roughly 10pm pacific time last night (09/17/2007) have been lost and must be redone. If you experience problems with your email panel, or with sending or receiving email, please contact our technical support department with as detailed a description as you can provide.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
** Update
It turns out the backup was restored from 09/13, not 09/17 as previously thought. A data merge has been performed, and those of you who added email accounts since 9/13 but now noticed them missing should be fixed. If you deleted an email account since 9/13, it may show up in the panel again. Simply delete the address again to resolve this issue.

I don’t think they did a very good job! My mailboxes /were/ showing, although the two new accounts I tried creating had lines through them. I deleted one, and now my own mailbox is missing and only one of the newly created ones is showing. I can’t get into webmail, but through my mail client (Mail.app under OS X) it all seems to be OK.

Please remove the “Resolved: Yes” tag associated with this issue, because as I write I am also unable to see or manage any email via web panel and a client’s email is not working at all. Clearly the status of this issue is “Resolved: No”.

And while you’re at it, perhaps you could also be so kind as to reconsider “Severity: Medium” ltoo. When my client’s email stops working your severity level should mimick my discomfort level, which is “Severity: Freakin’ High”.

I am still experiencing problem with all my e-mail addresses. I can’t check them via pop3 and nor via webmail.

I was thinking that I’d done something wrong, but maybe the sudden disappearance of all my email addresses was also related to this issue. Please help. Please let me know what’s going on. I’m a bit frantic about this.

To anyone else still having problems, please contact DH support, I don’t think they’re reading these posts.
The tech I’m dealing with keeps implying (in a very gentle and friendly manner) that the cause of these problems is me doing something boneheaded with the mail control panel.

Not sure why the quality, or responsiveness of DH tech support communications appear to be deteriorating at a rate similar to the that of their tech. support, but you better believe they are reading this. They just don’t want to be held officially accountable to several disparate bug reporting procedures, which is entirely fair and reasonable. If they aren’t reading this then it’s time to think about alternatives. Guys, we all understand that ’stuff happens’, but you have got to respond to that pile of mail panel related bug reports that is obviously backed up and overflowing. May I suggest that your urgently review your backup and restoration procedures and recognise the ‘actual’ severity of the situation. The severity of this mail issue was clearly underestimated and then disposed of well before it was actually resolved, which it clearly is not yet…

Actually, it lets you enter the webmail if you log in with the mailbox name instead of the address (not the same in case you haven’t created a ftp user for it),
I mean, it allows me to log in as m2xxxxx@mydomain.com instead mailbox alias johndoe@mydomain.com, (at least there is a way to successfully enter webmail)

Definitely NOT fixed. My forwarding settings are correct, but I am not receiving any e-mail at all, and mail sent from other ISPs is bouncing. Most annoying!!!!
