Hi. The panel isn’t working, or I’d submit a ticket for the fact that I can’t send email.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:09 am
LOL! i have the same issue.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:10 am
Webmail is not working!
September 26th, 2007 at 8:11 am
slow slow slow slow slow slow slow slow slow
September 26th, 2007 at 8:12 am
Yep, SMTP is broken, webmail is broken, the panel is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW, and I’m trying to submit a ticket now….
Once again they’re asleep at the wheel….
September 26th, 2007 at 8:12 am
Same here. No email. No panel. No way to contact dreamhost to let them know.
And no mention here on dreamhoststatus.com that they’re aware of the problem.
I hope they figure it out soon!
September 26th, 2007 at 8:12 am
POP and webmail are not working for me. I tried at 5am and they’re still down at 8:10am.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:14 am
No panel
No SMTP
No webmail
No announcement
No faith in this company to get its act together
September 26th, 2007 at 8:14 am
Wow email down and nothing on status…
September 26th, 2007 at 8:16 am
Email dead
Webmail dead
Cannot login to panel
No way to contact support
September 26th, 2007 at 8:17 am
I also can’t get to e-mail or the panel. I can only assume dreamhost has some sort of automated monitoring system, and they are working on this. They should still post something here.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:17 am
No smtp, no panel, no webmail here. I can’t submit a ticket, and there is no announcement. I know the problem just started recently, but its a problem, and we can’t report it.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:22 am
We can sit here and bitch
September 26th, 2007 at 8:22 am
Announcements downs, trying to send out my weekly newsletter. I knew I should have done it last night. Dang! Status please!!!!
September 26th, 2007 at 8:22 am
Happy 10th birthday Dreamhost.
Big Sale.
Stuff down
really tho, happy birthday
September 26th, 2007 at 8:22 am
Can’t access web panel at all come on people.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:22 am
if you have other email addresses, send something to support@dreamhost.com
That’s what I did a few minutes ago
September 26th, 2007 at 8:23 am
Status = things are messed up…
Estimated time when they will not be = messed up
September 26th, 2007 at 8:26 am
I would be most comfortable if they would at least acknowledge that many things are broken and we’d like them not to be.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:26 am
I tried to submit to support@dreamhost.com and received the following:
We’re sorry.. your email was unable to be processed by our automatic
support system, and so is being returned to you.
Our system could not find the open support case you were replying to,
and so could not automatically tie your message into our system. If this
was a reply to an EXISTING issue, please be sure to keep the:
[blah 123456]
in the subject line of your reply!
If this is regarding a NEW issue, we must ask that you submit it
through our web panel at:
https://panel.dreamhost.com/?tree=support.msg
(You can log in with this email address and your panel password.. have
it emailed to you if you’ve forgotten it!)
All messages submitted through that form are guaranteed to be received!
Our apologies for the inconvenience,
We have no way to report via panel, so how are people to report?
September 26th, 2007 at 8:26 am
Whew. I’m glad it’s not just me.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:27 am
Panel down
Webmail down
Sites up
My Webmail has been down at least once a week for more than an hour for the past six weeks. What nonsense.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:29 am
Panel down
FTP down
Sites up, but MySQL is iffy
September 26th, 2007 at 8:29 am
I just LOVE how the comments box says that “Comments posted here may not be viewed by DreamHost staff at all. This is not a way to contact DreamHost.”
Hey dreamhost, how about a phone number that we can call when your mail servers and web panel goes down? I try to be optimistic about the (lack of) service here, but it just seems to happen WAY too frequently. Seriously, it’s as if you’re trying to lose customers. Get your act together please.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:31 am
ya know… I’m normally happy to live with a certain amount of outages for growing pains, etc., but I’m ready to find another host. TOO MUCH F@*$*@)ING DOWN TIME!!
September 26th, 2007 at 8:33 am
SMTP is down again… I’m on looney. Anyone else with SMTP problems? Incoming is fine though. And yeah, webmail is down for all my domains. And panel is down which is not helpful!
September 26th, 2007 at 8:33 am
I snagged an old support ticket number and used that to keep my request from being rejected by the auto-response. I’m still having serious issues getting the support page to load, so I hope they manage to figure out what I’m talking about.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:34 am
I would suggest Dreamhost change their name to something more fitting for a hosting company that goes down frequently, without explanation and no phone support whatsoever…perhaps NIGHTMAREhost?!?
No email since 5 am EST…it’s now 11:30 am.
Unacceptable. Unprofessional.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:38 am
Web is down
shell access is down
I’m down (in a bad way) and done with this.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:39 am
We are currently experiencing a mail authentication issue with randy, spacey, spunky, postal, and janky. We believe we know the source of the problem, and hope to have it fixed in the next few minutes! (posted 1 min 7 secs ago)
September 26th, 2007 at 8:39 am
heeeeeeeeeey, “morpheus” is verrrrrrrrrrrrry slow now.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:40 am
Bah, down again….
September 26th, 2007 at 8:40 am
Lot’s of broken services.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:42 am
I’m on jareth, and it’s not responding either.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:44 am
On the panel, click “Account Status”.
We’re on frisky and also having these problems, but no mention in the blurb.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:45 am
Hey, Kerr. randy, spacey, spunky, postal, and janky are the names of mail servers. Dreamhost gives all their servers sort of pet names. You can find out what server you’re on by clicking on Account Status in the upper right hand corner of the panel.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:48 am
If the web panel was working that is.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:49 am
Only took me 40 min to submit a ticket, and they claimed there were no problems at the time.
We’ll see how many days it takes them to fix it this time.
Happy Effin’ Birthday, Dreamhost….
Guess they musta gone out and gotten blasted off their @asses again last night….
September 26th, 2007 at 8:49 am
Looks like our mail on aslan is down too.
September 26th, 2007 at 8:51 am
Spunky here.
If I didn’t know better, I’d swear that Dreamhost is just some teen with some old PC’s, wired in tandem in his parent’s garage.
September 26th, 2007 at 9:03 am
Webmail is up for me, outgoing POP3 still rejected.
September 27th, 2007 at 5:16 am
@tomatoville:
