Major networking issue.
Posted (October 2nd, 2007 at 2:31 pm PST) by JamesHWe are currently experiencing a major issue with our network that is affecting all sites and services. The admin team is working to fix things right now. We’ll post when we have more information.
Update: Services seem to be returning to normal, watch this space for more updates.

Details on this outage would be appreciated.
That’s it… this shit is ridiculous… The Lord’s sites NEVER WENT DOWN once during this outage, and He didn’t get to lose money hand over fist every second. He feels like Dreamhost is leaving Him out and wants me to take His sites to notdreamhost.com.

Number One - Your site is working just fine from here.

Number Two - It is not even a site… just an Under Construction placeholder. Allow me to give you a warning from The Lord… build a site that praises Him… do not build a site that is of The Devil like Christians above.

Detail to follow: Your site is working just fine from here. The one day old outage is not effecting you three. Perhaps you all have the same ISP Of The Devil and Old Scratch is blocking your access to Dreamhost rather than Dreamhost not serving your sites. Do not be so quick to rebuke The Lord, for He is not the only factor involved in your websites being available to The Sheep.

What could I use to monitor uptime on my site? I really don’t trust the DH blog to be in anyway accurate when it comes to reporting outages, so I want to do some investigating of my own.

Maybe Voo works for the Lord, and Dreamhost.

And Guy, I DO NOT work for Dreamhost… I work only for The Lord, and that is no shit, but if I were to work for anyone, it would be something of an honor for it to be Dreamhost, for they please The Lord other than the slow MySQL!

guh. it’s been down for nearly 24 hours if not longer now. what’s going on over there guys? this is definitley not fixed. I love DreamHost and you guys always pull through but an update on why I cant access any of my domains would be nice

Regarding not being able to get to the panel to make a support request - now that’s a pretty painful problem that posting here can sometimes help with. Unfortunately It’s too long since your post for me to try to connect to the panel and see if it’s the server or some other issue. So, if you’re still having issues getting to the panel, let us (other customers) know and we’ll see if it’s working for others.
Please, hurry! it was working just a couple of hours ago and now its not!
Dan, please know that The Lord is doing you a REALLY big favor letting your site exist at all… He does not take kindly to sites that wake his wife up when He loads it into His holy browser (Firefox). Men across The Universe have waited for a long time for their wives to go to sleep so they can do that which they wish to do without constant interruptions to do that which they do not wish to do, only to have your site causing them to rise as Lazarus from their slumber.

Geir, you should probably contact support for advice on setting up your domain… the error your site has been giving this evening is generally related to your domain configurations. The Lord cannot help with that as it technically falls under messin with free will… it’s a subsection of a subsection within The Covenant… sorry.

My DH sites may go down, but I can always rely on them to come back up. That’s not the work of the lord or the devil. That the work of the guys that make cheap hosting possible. The DH team. If we let the Lord run the show, less would get fixed or taken care of than if George W. ran the show.

Sei lá, um site meu estava fora do ar (tenho 40 em minha conta), fiz todos os testes possíveis e nada. Voltou quando reinicei o serviço “named”. Sinistro… ainda estou sem entender direito.
I know there, a website mine was off (I have 40 in my account), I made all the possible tests and nothing. The service came back when restarted “named”. Weird… still I am without understanding right.

I can’t access any dreamhost sites - dreamhost.com/panel.dreamhost.com etc. Is anyone else experiencing trouble?
