File server ‘refrigerator’ blew a drive.
Posted (October 15th, 2007 at 1:33 am PST) by kitchenThe file server ‘refrigerator’, one of the file servers for the frisky cluster has blown a drive and is rebuilding its array. Because of this the system is responding a bit more slowly than usual, and will probably cause intermittent slowness of shell access, websites, email and webmail for users whose homedirs are on refrigerator.
As of right now, the rebuild is 5% complete, and will probably take another few hours to complete.
We want to emphasize that no data has been lost, and no data is in danger of being lost, drive failures on file servers are fairly common when it has over 100 drives.
Update: 9:51am pacific: the array rebuild process has completed. If you are having issues, please contact support!

Please check out the janky, it is down again , I havent got web mail –> ERROR: Conexión terminada por el servidor IMAP.
Query: SELECT “INBOX” ,
please!! this query until a child knows it , put select * from Inbox
to many problems , to much stress ![]()
@Pablo - I don’t think that’s the whole query . . . and if something is wrong, you need to submit a support ticket, this is not a place to report problems.
@pablo: although the syntax does look similar to SQL, I assure you that is not a SQL query being performed. IMAP also has a ’select’ command, although it’s very very different from the functionality of SQL’s select command.
Janky Server is down. I already send a support ticket .. *sighs* :[
Pff
typical… never ending story with these guys. it’s down every day.
does anyone know how we can keep the address and go through another server host??
@Vanessa : I guess this must help you.
I’ve started moving all my domains to a virtual dedicated server through godaddy.com. they have triple redundancy so you will never experience down time. i’ve been w/ dreamhost for 3 years and never really had problems, but the last 6 months have been horrible. they have cost me time and money and I haven’t seen anything done to fix all the problems.
Move to Godaddy
GoDaddy “never” is like an ex-spouse’s “til death do us part”
thank you for thr information…. but It was a joke !!!, obviously there is not the same sentences, let me joke because this issue has me vey very very angry and worried , today imap looks good ![]()
Uff da. What do expect, when you name a server “refigerator”. Next time name it “server” or something! LOLZ
Thankss..
