I have several different uptime services, and they all report the same things. Up/Down/Up/Down. Support says 'everything should be fine now' yet later on I get another email from the uptime service that my sites are down... These are simple sites, nothing fancy, basically 1-click-installs, everything SHOULD work fine!

Look.

The minute dreamhost emails you scheduled downtime, you complainy people will be emailing in before it trying to schedule DIFFERENT TIMES! If you want a dedicated, get a dedicated. Dreamhost is cheap, and they know their stuff while keeping us informed publicly. If you can't understand this, maybe you need a less honest host. If you can't read between the lines or don't know exactly what a core router is, you can die in a fire for all I care. Geez!

Dude, that's really cool that your "shit works". But guess what? My shit hasn't worked right for a week. So of course I'm unhappy.

That's really cool that it's working for you, but that doesn't do ANYTHING for me. I would totally understand if you were pissed off if your site wasn't working right for a week and mine was.

So don't tell people to quit bitching. And don't worry, you won't hear my bitch once my contract expires :)

This is terrible. My site has been up and down since Friday. My FTP and cPanel have been completely down since FRIDAY. This is ridiculous. As soon as my contract expires I am leaving DreamHost and never coming back.

They don't accept email. You have to go through the 5-step slower-than-hell panel.... if it works... which it does not, right now. I would hope, however, that they would have noticed that everything is down/disconnected, by now.

It would have been smart to have included a short note with the real story at the end of the post.

Anyone that can't figure out that's a joke probably wouldn't have been able to comprehend a little note at the end either.
