Server, LeSabre, Being Failed Over

We will be failing it over to new hardware and posting updates as available. We apologize for the inconvenience. This will only affect users on the server, “LeSabre”. Email service will not be affected…

The failover process is complete! Everything should be running now on the new hardware. If you are still having issues, please contact support!

@JeffH, no it will not.
Guess it’s my unlucky day, at first I thought my site down was due to the 2nd DNS problem. Now it is the server failing. My site has been down for over 3 hours, please fix asap. Thanks

Hey guys - thanks for being on top of this problem. My page is hosted on LeSabre. I noticed my site was down and decided to check this blog.
It didn’t take long for it to come back up. It’s now up and running again. Hope everyone else is enjoying this quick turn around.
3 hours for a failover is A-OK in my book.

Woo! Site’s back to normal speed. I for one much prefer not knowing the details and not having to deal with the issues! The site I need 100% uptime for is on it’s own dedicated and I get to deal with enough problems keeping it online =P

Okay, I know I’m nitpicking, but what’s with that comma after “server”. Shouldn’t be “The server LeSabre”? Aren’t commas supposed to be used for pauses, appositions or lists? I’ve been seeing this sort of thing more and more and it really bugs me.
@Marc Andre - Actually, I believe (based on a quick review of my old copy of the Chicago Manual of Style) that it should read “The server, LeSabre, is …”. Using no punctuation makes “server” into an adjective, which it is not. The server name in this case is a parenthetical expression, that is, it could be removed from the sentence without making the sentence into a fragment. Although it would be a rather useless sentence if the server was not named, it would still be a complete sentence.
It would not actually make it into an adjective, as i cuold very well say “my brother Tom” without making “brother” into an adjective, or, for that matter, talk about a garage door without making “garage” an adjective.
Furthermore, the server name is not, in this case, a parenthetical expression: it would be if the server had already been identified or in some way presented and we would only be here specifying its name. Let’s say I’m talking about my brother (yeah, him again); after a while, I could say something like “Then my brother, John, got up and left.” “John,” here, would be parenthetical. But if I had been talking about more than one brother, to identify him, I would say, “Then my brother John got up and left.” Then again, I could also say, “Then one of my brothers, John, got up and left.” “John” can be parenthetical here, since I’m not using “the” but “one”. In that sense, “LeSabre” could only be parenthetical if they had said, “One of our servers” or “A server”.
(Note that commas can also be used when introducing a quote.)
