Janky cluster file server issue
One of the file servers on the janky cluster is having issues this morning, an admin has already been notified and the situation is being investigated. We are working to get this resolved and the file server back up as soon as possible. Our apologies for the downtime related to this issue.
Update: It’s back up and running. It seems to have stopped functioning while re-building disks, but we will need to do more diagnostics to be sure of that assessment.

Fixed? Not really…. I’m running 3 sites w/ MySQL db’s on ‘em and none of them will connect properly. This is the 2nd time in 2 days that Dreamhost has seriously underperformed…. and to think I was touting their excellent customer service just a month ago…. so does this mean I’m up shit creek now or what?

Looks like washington is affected as well.
We are having mod_rewrite issues where users requesting any page on our domain without the “www.” prepended are receiving a 500 error. I’m guessing it is related.

I was working on something on my site (janky fileserver) and updating some MySQL and the sometimes it takes as long as a minute to update the file.
at about 4AM EST it just stopped. I’m looking for other hosting as the moment.

Something is still wrong — webmail takes minutes to load, and each message takes at least one minute to send. When I get abck to the Inbox menu, that can take two minutes or more to load!
