March 18th, 2008 at 2:52 am
Yikes - I am distressed - you seem to always have problems - I would pay a little more for quality of service - are your prices too cheap that you can’t fulfill your commitments?
You are killing my business.
March 18th, 2008 at 2:54 am
Attention Idiots if your sites that important go to rack space! duh! cheap a$$es
March 18th, 2008 at 2:56 am

March 18th, 2008 at 3:09 am
hurry up, DH..
the sites are down just before I was going to advertise it!!
Moreover, the sites were experiencing cycles of slowness since last week. Hope you resolve it soon.
March 18th, 2008 at 3:14 am
please resolve soon, its becoming annoying, i might go back to 1and1 if that is the case
March 18th, 2008 at 3:22 am
ahh..
sites are up again.
thanks!!
But I was experiencing periodic slowdowns since last 10 days or so. Anyone else at bingly cluster experiencing similar problem? Is that problem resolved too?
March 18th, 2008 at 3:48 am
thinkmate,
so do I.
I’m a new consumer (one week and a half?) and I’m very disappointed by the high downtime since. As I’m with the fact that some times my web page here takes some while to load.
I hope these issues will be fixed soon.

Problems with Blingy were announced 2 weeks ago. If you have problems, submit a support ticket.

Shared Space = Pay Less - You are using “Group Buying Power”
DH, you are doing a great job. I have been periodically experiencing timed out e-mail functions. Other than that, my site and db’s are going slow but still doing ok. I am thankful for what I have, and I hope other people see the same. Thanks for being there and giving us so many options.
It’ll probably be about a week before all of my own services are back up and running too. Don’t forget to check often for hardware failures, finding it too late is a pain.
Rather than going off into whining about the problems with the host, I have better things to do.
I hope other folks are tempted to realize that “encouragement gets better results than insult”.

Unfortunately after a month of constant server issues, and slowdowns I’m currently in the process of exporting my site data so that I can cancel my account. If it was once in a while, no biggie, but once every 2 to 3 days I get comments about how slow my site is or my users getting a 404 error. Not good for business.

Reprehensible downtime this week - my sites are too slow for the public and my email does not work properly - week 2 of this nonsense. I am considering leaving Dreamhost.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:59 pm
One week now of our email not working and site is also slowwwwwwww! We are working on updating our site and have setup a few URL’s for testing and they are very sloww!
Web mail also does not work!! Any resolve in site yet?? Any One??
April 1st, 2008 at 3:29 pm
site is running painfully slow. can’t ask client to start adding content to the CMS until this is resolved
April 3rd, 2008 at 6:09 am
It’s honestly taking *minutes* for my site to load. I’d say that’s a pretty horrible impression for any visitor… Any estimated time for recovery? Is there anything I can do to resolve this on my sites?
I can’t even get feedburner to pull my RSS feed! it’s just timing out.
I’m willing to pay more if this will ensure that it solves the issues. Would upgrading to a private server fix the slowness on my site? I need something as soon as possible or I’ll have to look around at other hosts.
April 3rd, 2008 at 6:50 am
My site is also taking minutes to load. This is sad.

have not been able to reliably user jabber, my imap email does not connect, cannot upload to my website, and cannot access my website for what seems to be several days now. i am a pretty new customer to dreamhost. is this common? i have recommended you to a lot of other users right after i signed up since everything seemed great but it seems like there is more downtime than uptime for me here. yahoo hosting was much more reliable.
is this regular for dreamhost? it’s ok if you guys have a lot of downtime frequently, just advertise it so users know what to expect when signing up.
hope this gets resolved soon
April 3rd, 2008 at 8:08 am
Now I get a 403 error. Just great.
April 3rd, 2008 at 8:14 am
The severity level is not “Low.” Mine and other sites are not working. This is not low severity. It is quite high for the people who are having issues.
April 3rd, 2008 at 8:33 am
Seriously… please resolve this immediately. It’s ridiculous! This is your business, and if you need to replace the server or whatever, do it. Otherwise your business will crash.
April 3rd, 2008 at 7:04 pm
I hear all of you on this - but has anyone offered anyone any sort of monetary compensation for our sites going down? I mean, I was right in the middle of promoting the site - I spend money on flyers - and come to find that no one can even access the site? We all pay money to have our site up and running. When we can’t access our sites, or e-mail every other month - we need to see come compensation.
April 7th, 2008 at 2:33 am
This is pretty ridiculous. I’m a new customer so I really don’t know if this is a recurring problem with DH but my sites are for my final year university portfolio and major project, and this is just ridiculous, if this isn’t resolved in the next week or so, I will LITERALLY fail my degree…
Please, this needs sorted, now.

This has been going on for a couple months off and on..ya think it’s time to move us off this server? Come on! I’m about to move myself off and over to another hosting provider. LAME!!!!!!
