This appears here - the official site for site status - 34 minutes after being posted on the webpanel? Seriously?
March 19th, 2008 at 8:16 am
Thanks for the update guys =)
March 19th, 2008 at 8:19 am

March 19th, 2008 at 8:21 am
@Christian - You’ve been notified twice.
If they emailed you as well would you crawl into a corner and slash up?
March 19th, 2008 at 8:22 am
Do it. Do it.
March 19th, 2008 at 8:46 am

That’s the same email I sent support. My business has ground to a halt. No orders - spotty email - and most of all TERRIBLE service from DH
March 19th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Same here, bad for business. Fix it!
March 19th, 2008 at 9:09 am
Dreamhost… the WORST hosting in the world !!!!
March 19th, 2008 at 9:46 am
WTF is this. I have had nothing but problems with this host since I first signed up. Slow email, slow website, slow support response. I did a lot of research before choosing DH and got a few recommendations for it as well but this is a pretty crappy first impression. And this coming from someone who just left GoDaddy!

@Adam Godaddy Sucks more than anyone U_U
Sucks more than the guy who created the suck’s meaning.
March 19th, 2008 at 10:32 am
It would be helpful if you would list the servers that are affected–I assume this is why my site is down, but I can’t really tell from this update.
March 19th, 2008 at 11:08 am
The outage is NOT resolved! All my sites, ftp, databases and email are down! Also DreamHost webpanel is down! This is not resolved!
March 19th, 2008 at 11:30 am
We just transferred from GoDaddy too. So far dreamhost has been a big disappointment with our site going off the air on an irregular and frequent basis. At least with GoDaddy, the outtages were reliable. Arrrrrrrgggghhh!
March 19th, 2008 at 11:37 am
I have 7 sites hosted with Dreamhost. They’ve never been down. I’ve lost email access for a total of maybe 3 hours in the past 9 months. Annoying, but OK. Compared to the thousands of complaints on these pages, I feel like I have a different hosting provider altogether.
But, maybe posting this will break the magic spell that’s been keeping it all working…
March 19th, 2008 at 11:45 am
huuh, in this momento all my sites are ok! Good look for yours! x)
March 19th, 2008 at 11:50 am
Problems still abound here … terrible throughput for video and appears files have been truncated.
March 19th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
dreamhost? you were too general with your name, You should call yourselves nightmarehost, it would settle a lot of confusion from the get go.
March 19th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Well it was fixed for about 1 hour this morning and now it is back to not being able to upload again! And I still have not be replied to on 2 of my support tickets!
March 19th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
That was almost as funny as the countless times other idiots that thought they were being creative said it.
March 19th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
Waaaaaaaah! http://fuckdreamhost.com
March 19th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
This is not resolved, all of my websites are down as well. I am also losing money and my clients are calling me incessantly!
March 19th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Our email server is blocking messages to an alias that DH is supposed to forward. Stupid!
March 19th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Hi,
Man, I’m having problems contacting support. All emails get bounced back and when I try to submit a ticket in my account, it takes an eternity to send the ticket to support.
I have to wait for hours to get a failure msg. It’s not a browser issue. I tried with IE, Mozilla and Opera. All three seems not to be working with the web based support area.
Pls drop me an email along with a support email address where does not require an ID so I can explain my problems.
Thanks.
March 19th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
You guys should put up a reminder for the big move tomorrow!
March 19th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
Holy crap… that site is nasty and surely Dreamhost will be suing the hell out of them.
March 19th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
@Carrie: I’ve 2 accounts at dreamhost, one since early 2005 (on deblume), other since late 2007 (on fox). The first one almost doesn’t have any problem last year, but latter (on fox) has problems every week in the last 2 months
March 19th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
Is anyone else’s site down right now??? I know for a fact 2 of their servers are down as my sites are one them.
March 19th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
yep. my sites are both down. -___-
March 19th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
you guys should run away from dreamhost.
always problems everyday…
apparently they dont know anything about webhosting business
March 19th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Looks like toadstool is still down. Can’t connect via FTP either.
March 19th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
my sites, email, mysql are all down too. They were working fine 4 hours ago, but they’ve been down the last 2 or 3 hours. My webserver is on “link”, my email is on “blingy” and mysql is on “chip”. Had to go wrong just before Easter didn’t it…. no doubt now I’ll have a deluge of emails to wade through late tonight (its 4pm here in Hong Kong) or during my days off. Woo Hooo…
March 20th, 2008 at 7:55 am
Ugh… I’m getting kind of tired of this constant downtime. Time to look for a new host. This sucks. I was hoping DH would be the way to go.
March 22nd, 2008 at 11:12 am
Man, I’ve been experiencing slow activity and down time for days and days now. When is this going to end? I have four sites with Dreamhost on my own account and have setup accounts for several others — a total of probably a dozen sites! When I visit any of these, I get slow slow slow slow slow…….
March 24th, 2008 at 2:17 pm
No Email and it’s 5:25 CST. When will this be resolved???
April 1st, 2008 at 1:11 pm
We’ve not been able to ftp for about a week now. DH says it’s not on their end. But COME ON! WTF? I want to jump ship. Any good hosting sites out there? Been with DH since 2004 and this is the WORST. DH tells us it’s on our end but I can easily ftp to go daddy. Just not one of my sites on DH. Hmmm… FIX THIS!
April 4th, 2008 at 6:45 am
My site it still down…
It loads up a page with just ‘INDEX OF/’ and a few hyperlinks … ?!?!!
What’s going on ??
April 7th, 2008 at 7:27 am
The site has been slow for days now. It’s clearly not on my end. FTPing 100K of files for an upgrade took nearly 7 hours as the server kept timing out. Come on, it wasn’t a lot of data. Trying to backup the site took all night as the same timeout persisted. Why can’t this issue be resolved? Too many people spend too much time building sites and then have to move them when the provider drops the ball. It reflect poorly on us first, and then on you as we decide to look for hosting elsewhere.
April 11th, 2008 at 5:35 am
100K should be moved over a few seconds not hours.
