Hmmm, other servers down again with not notification on the nightmare host status panel. What is going on with these people. Are they all hung over from their party last night in the new LA skyrise posh offices or what? This is getting ridiculous already. They never use to have this much trouble in the early days, now it’s like nobody attends to their servers and some users are let to go wild and suck up CPU usage while others are left showing their customers pages saying the page can’t be found, or some generic bull pucky error messages. This is just sad.

Adulu - you can see what servers your site uses by logging into the control panel and selecting “Account Status” in the top right hand corner. Hupmobile is the name of a single webserver of the thousands that DH manages.
maraland - Your site appears fine now. Note that this site (dreamhoststatus.com) is NOT where you report things like this. You need to submit a request through the panel. Until you report it, your hope would be misplaced.

I’ve been running slow now for over 24 hours. WAY TOO SLOW! My customers are getting so pissed! TT was addressed but the problem is back! Also have a MIVA config error pop up for no reason whatsoever. No reply to my TT on this one. WTF??? Is anybody working at DH over the weekend?

don’t hold your breath. i finally got a response: “sorry, we moved your files to a new server/file sysem , and that file server crashed and we lost all your data. we also doon’t have any backups, and hope you do”.
that’s a big WTF….thanks for destroying my work, he day of my demo….sure, i have backups, but a little heads up you guys were moving my f’n files and there could be a data loss seems FUCKING basic hosting 101 you could have done.

Don’t understand you guys contacting support and getting no answer. I had a problem on my site and they fixed the issue within 20 minutes of contacting them. Dreamhost has the best support i’ve seen

I have finally left Dreamhost. I have used these guys for a long time and stuck with them as best I could… but the most recent period of months have been utterly appauling. One issue took over 24 hours to resolve, with my sites being down for the entire time. I cannot run websites like this.
I’m sorry to go in many ways, as I love the massive geeky freedom of the control panel but enough’s enough.
People often fight back saying you get what you pay for… and they’re right - you do. And I’m going elsewhere to pay just a little more for something a lot better.
I know there are avid fans that’ll stick by Dreamhost no matter what (good on you… for your sins!) but for those who are ‘not sure’ about Dreamhost, I’d unfortunately recommend you look elsewhere until they step up.
And for those sticking around, I genuinely hope things improve for you.
