@Andy Hawkes (and Tim too, I suppose) thanks for taking it elsewhere! More room for me! Things seem to be looking better, and I'll take all the CPU cycles you guys will no longer be using!

Well, 6 days and 5 hours and no solution. I have begun moving my stuff to Hostgator. I guess it's time to have quality over quantity since reliability is not a part of Dream Host.

I give up - you try to create a dialog about a genuine issue and some "witty" individual does their best to create a negative response.

I am well aware that anyone can post with any name.

I had hoped that someone useful may have replied with some information or assurance that things aren't circling the drain.

I meant to imply that the imposter was just a time-waster / troll rather than an employee with poor customer service skills.

All in all it has made dreamhost seem more like a bad option. So much for the customers being the best advert...

I've been a dreamhost customer for over two years now, and have been pretty happy in the past.

There has been the occasional short outage, but they were short, and few and far between. But this is getting ridiculous. I've had over half a dozen outages to my services on snocap over the past week; most of them being over an hour long.

I plan to switch providers as soon as my contract expires, and to stop recommending dreamhost. I'd rather pay more for reasonable uptime.

I apologize for that last post. I just get really frustrated with myself sometimes because I'm not too bright. You can see that in the last post where I blamed Dreamhost for the post in my name, even though anyone in the world can comment here.

I just checked my panel again and I'm not on Snocap. I'm on Bottlecap and just figured they were the same thing.

> Boy, do I feel dumb now. I’m not even on Snocap.

Oh, wait... yes I am.

Thank you to the kind/sarcastic soul who decided to respond in my name, but a quick look at my control panel shows my websites hosted on... Snocap. With FTP users on... Snocap. Thanks for your input.

Whilst I had previously been quite happy with Dreamhost, this kind of childish response to a service issue relating to something I pay for (despite the relative cheapness of Dreamhost's service, it is still paid for) and I expect a certain professionalism and reliability, which in my opinion has been diminishing over the last 12 months.

Sarcasm does nothing to retain customers - I should know as I'm a sarcastic bastard most of the time.

Thank you Dreamhost, but I think we will be parting company fairly soon.
