Bitters down for the count!

Bitters seems to have lost it’s local drive, so we’re moving it to new hardware. Domains on it should be working within 30-45 minutes or so.

We apologize for the problems this causes!

Everything should be back up and running. If you’re still having problems, please let support know!

    good ill take this opportunity to ask why none of my Quicktime streaming is working….

    i even made a never QT server…and it doesnt appear in my dir’s…yet is in the panel

    could you guys get your shit together PLEASE?

    I’ve been with you guys a LONG time, andd there’s been some pretty bad down times, but no biggie. For the past few weeks, it seems SOMETHING is always crashing there. Before I was only you using for storage, now that I’m trying to get my own website up and running, YOUR SHIT NEVER WORKS!

    Not threatening, but I need a GOOD provider as soon as I get my webstore and running

    I was just recently moved to reeses and now today nothing works. FTP and HTTP are completly out. Does This Bitters thing effect other servers??

    My site has been been pokey and sometimes down for the past several days. Seems like lots of different problems going on at Dreamhost. I’m glad you post updates so at least we know you’re working on it…

    I’m on Frisky and for hours now it’s been outage/slowness/outage/slowness/up for 2 minutes/outage/slowness … I have ONE MORE PHOTO to put into the current report which has taken me two hours and should have taken about half an hour … aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    Before I never had any problems with service. I don’t know whats going on with you guys at the minute. It works. It doesn’t work. Website loads but takes 40+ seconds to bring a page up. Im not sure if I am bundled in with the Blingy problem ATM but it’s a real pain. I see blingy listed as my mail server but apparently it’s more than that? I’d just like the site to load and work. I like you guys for the fact that I feel my personal webhosting isn’t being outsourced to India entirely like some… other providers. I’d just like it to goddamn work though.. You know? Maybe after some of these fixes it will be good again. I’m just a drop frustrated. I guess you work weekends but don’t reply to support emails on weekends? Do I need to set the priority on the support email to “OMG SOMEONE IS DYING” type of thing to get a response? …

    I’m on trans-am, and have the same problems as Ryan above. Sent a request for help but no reply so far. I’ve been using DreamHost for about a year without any major mishaps, with timely responses to questions about my own fumbles.

    But these last few days have been ridiculous! And it seems to be getting worse. My site has been down for the last 30 minutes now, and this is after several days of painfully slow page loads. DreamHost should at least post another update here to let us know a more reasonable estimate of WHEN we can expect to see our sites working again. Because according to the update here, it should have been several hours ago.

    Hey all, is your storage on the blingy storage cluster? This could be affecting your performance. Check the message before this one. It’s rebuilding which will slow things down.

    Hi DreamHost. I know this is not the proper place to contact support, but my site is down, and my login to the webpanel is not recognized. When I request a resend of my login info, I am told it is sent but never arrives. Please have someone from support contact me at Rick@WAHD.net . My site http://www.WrestlingWithTheTruth.com is down and 404s. This is the second day it has been down with no support from DreamHost on this, Rick Davies

    The message you posted makes it sound like bitters is back up but my site is still down? Database errors - cannot connect.. I can access bitters via http://FTP.. so it looks like some things are still broken..

    Is it just me or are there others that do not have their mysql databases back online.. I have several support tickets into dreamhost but no response from them.. ARGH double ARGH.. 14 hours+ of downtime is not a good thing

    Waaaaaaaah, oh my god, my site was down for 5 minutes! Hardware fails. Get over it. Stupid impatient bitchy customers; you’re like children! This kind of shit happens in data centers on a regular basis. Dreamhost just has the audacity to be transparent with their customers. Stop fucking complaining. They are great.

    I’ve had zero replies to any of my support tickets. Something bigger is definitely wrong.

    bzzzzt. not found. Of course I’m being told it’s me…despite the fact i’ve tested all my files are hinted correctly etc etc.

    Looking at another hosting company right now….enuff is enuff, oblique email answers 20 hours later is not what i would call

    ’support’ of ANY kind. I’ll be the first to re-appear and apologize if they sort it out…they dont seem too bothered to solve it though.

    @Trish: You’re violating the TOS. DH is for webhosting and not for storage.
