Puncher Got Knocked Out
Posted (June 16th, 2008 at 8:15 pm PST) by Jason CThe puncher file server for users on the postal cluster required a quick reboot this evening. The cause of this reboot was battery issues and caused services across several servers to become unresponsive for a short amount of time. Services are being restarted now tho and should be back up momentarily.
Please note that there will be a brief period of downtime for some postal customers tomorrow while we replace the battery in puncher.

Folks, the date on our server is completely wrong. It’s 6/18/07 and not 2008 apparently. If you reset the CMOS battery, please make sure the bios date and time is correct as well as this effects the OS time/date on your server. Please check into this. I’m missing mail messages because they are now coming in from a year ago when it supposed to be today. The server our site is hosted on is torrance. Thanks.
