“sarabi:fabia” Experiencing Problems
Posted (June 25th, 2008 at 6:42 pm PST) by Jason CSome customers on the MySQL server “sarabi” — mostly the ones whose databases are on the service fabia — may be having issues getting thru to their databases. A member of our admin team is currently working on fixing this matter and we should be able to give you a resolution shortly. Expect an update with more information here soon.
Update 10:53PM Pacific: Just got word from our MySQL guys that the recovery of this is finished and things should be running normally again. Please contact support if you are still having issues!

Heh, severity low is a bit of an understatement. My site is completely dead.
All db-based sites are down and this is a “low severity” issue?
Take me to your dealer!
Please just fix this ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t care if you say if it is a low severity
My Site Completely dead too, waiting for fix…..
Any updates?
Come on guys, any updates? site is completly dead, loosing money as well we speak and precious business hours here in australia.
Dreamhost seems to be having some serious issues. Third outtage in less than a month where my sites are unavailable for hours on end. It’s been over five hours of dead sites for me and still no indication that it will be fixed soon. Is it time to go elsewhere? I had heard so many good things about Dreamhost before bringing a lot of business to them.
Same here. Website down but all Canada is sleeping so there is no problem for me… as long as it works in some hour.
Pretty funny … severity “low” for that … ![]()
Word for word with what Chang said. I’ve only been using Dreamhost for about a month and a half now, and I’ve already had my site down 3 separate times.
So this is the problem to refer to if a Word Press based site is down? I sincerely hope this gets fixed quickly, my site has been down all day.
lol, i was using another dreamhost account a freinds, my site had been down a fair bit, but i was assured by staff that it wouldnt happen again… but now it has 4 days after i just paid $300 for my own service instead of using my friends. it fills me with confidence!
back up. thanks fellas
At least it won’t happen again????? thankx
This is ridiculous. Third time down in month and it’s not few minutes or hours. Few weeks ago my site was 3 days down. Also, every time they have mysql problem they mess my views and instead of having views I got empty tables and have to recreate them. Sites are loosing credibility, customers, money and it is low severity. I wonder what has to happen to be medium or high severity.
This is about a single MySQL process running on one MySQL machine. This was a very localized outage like a single apache going down. It was not DreamHost wide, nor cluster wide, nor even machine wide. While any outage is of high priority to the customer who has their site go down, if everything were marked as high severity the field would have no meaning.

If a connection to a Database is currently not working the Severity of the outage should not be “Low”. Sites running WordPress will not work if their DB connection is out.
