Putney MySQL is down

Posted (June 30th, 2008 at 10:55 pm PST) by JeffH

Putney mysql went down. Admins are investigating/fixing. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Please bear with us and check back for updates. We will post them as the situation progresses.

Update: Data is being restored from backup, and machine is being failed over to new hardware. This may take a little while. Will update as soon as it’s resolved.

Update:  After a long night of data restores and hardware replacement, we’re all back up and running now.  If you’re still having problems though, write to support and let them know!

Yes, this time…bye bye DREAMHOST!
I’ve just signed up with Hostgator.com whose reputation is much better.
After 2 years of dreamhost, I’m so tired.
Yes, it’s fun to have an host company by employee.
All fun around.
But when something goes wrong… their boss (or whatever position he take) he simply bother to buy the new iPhone….
Guys… be serious when the problem is serious…. there are people out here that are earning their living around your service.
Sorry but as say at this latitude: “patient has a limit”

I’m having some troubles with Poprock server. It is somewhat related with this issue?

Brokenby2703, that made absolutely no sense. And hostgator is crap. Have fun. More bandwidth for us.

Crap ? Well, we shall see…
Do you know how long has been your down time yesterday ?
Have you ever worried how much that downtime may cost to your client ?

Guys, nobody complain when you want to be fun….
But when your downtime is damaging us (your customers), I think you should be a bit more serious….
Downtime may happen to everybody… but it seems (reading YOUR CUSTOMERS FEEDBACK) that it is happening too often….

Anyway if you really need my bandwidth, wow, it means that your bandwidth is already in the limit….please take it.

If after 4 years (not 2 sorry, they are 4…. 2 years prepaid + 2 renewals) a customer is leaving you…. I honestly start thinking what’s wrong.

Probably you still don’t want to understand that your customers are trying to earn a living….that’s all!

EVERYTHING IS DOWN!

Dreamhost, my server, web panel.. EVERYTHING!

What is happening/going on?!
