Router reboot this Friday night

Posted (October 23rd, 2008 at 11:20 am PST) by Kelly

This Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10:15pm Pacific time we will be performing an OS upgrade on our core router. This requires a reload, during which time all DreamHost services will be unreachable for about 15 minutes. After this time everything should be back to normal.

This is related to:

http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/2008/09/21/major-network-issues/

Cisco’s technical support is not certain this will fix the issue, however they advised that our current version of IOS is deferred due to many related bugs. We are hopeful this will make this problem go away, or at least less prevalent.

Edit: 10:14 PM Pacific Rebooting in about 1 minute! See you in 15!

Edit: 10:34 PM Pacific We’re back! The router is still thinking quite hard about things, but based upon blinking hard disk lights, and my general ability to update this post, we’re more or less back online! I will be going through and making sure all of our servers are up and running. Please contact support if you have any lingering issues.
