Rack Consolidation Moves
Posted (December 18th, 2008 at 10:44 am PST) by KyleWe are consolidating several racks to free up space for new hardware (yay!), consequentially there will be some downtime for the servers involved (boo!). Here’s the list of servers that will be affected:

The majority of the servers listed are Private Servers so there are many of them on a single physical machine. Each physical machine will be down for 5-10 minutes, there are 25 machines in all so we are looking at a window of 2ish/3ish hours. Sorry for any inconveniences!
Update: All machines have survived the move! If you are still experiencing troubles please contact support.

I didnt get anythings notifying me of the move and downtime.
An email would have been a nice heads up about this…I’ve been down an hour now.
Shouldn’t something as major as this be scheduled during the middle of the night and/or on a weekend? Unbelievable
I had to reboot our PS before it came back online.

No kidding. No notice other than the support site for scheduled maintenance AND during MID WEEK DAY… Zero regard for customers if you ask me… Thanks DH. My customers are SO effen happy!

Well it worked for a bit but looks like I’m down again.

I hope you didn’t use Campaign Monitor. Even at a penny a message it still would cost you 10 jillion. Thats way too much to pay to send customers to a 404
Going on 5 hours of downtime now…

You do realize that DH is a worldwide host. Perhaps the majority of the users on this cluster of Private Servers was from a different part of the world and as a result, the maintenance was done in the middle of the night for them. Just remember that as a worldwide company, they will never be able to take down any equipment at a time when it would be convenient for everyone involved. Just thought I’d add my 2 cents.
